August 2, 2017
WATERVILLE - On June 26th Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area held their 16th annual Swing for Hope and Hospice Golf Tournament and netted over $11,000 to benefit Hope’s Place a program for grieving children and teens. Nearly 60 golfers participated in this year’s event, which was held at the Waterville Country Club. Tournament highlights included opportunities for both men and women to compete for many wonderful prizes donated by area businesses. Prizes were awarded for lowest gross and net scores for men and women, straightest fairway drive, closest to the pin, longest drive for both men and women and a putting contest. Tournament winners include: 1st gross, Four Seasons Wealth Strategies, 2nd gross, Damon’s Beverage & Redemption, 1st net: New York Life, 2nd net: Team Drouin. Longest drive men, Gary Leveque, longest drive women: Jodi Cornelio, straightest drive men, Paul Hammond and straightest drive women, Terry Baird. With the support of our many sponsors and golfers, once again the biggest winners are the Hope’s Place Kids!
