Have you or your loved ones recently experienced the loss of someone dear to you? Camp Ray of Hope, our weekend retreat for grieving families and individuals, may be a good fit for you. Join us the weekend of September 15-17, 2017.
Camp Ray of Hope was founded in 1995 to give grieving individuals and families a place to come together and learn new ways to cope with their loss, to meet others with similar circumstances, to remember the special times, to make new friends, and to have fun.
WHO CAN COME? Families and individuals anywhere in Maine whose loved one has died from terminal illness or sudden unexpected death. Individuals under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult. REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
Children write stories about their loved ones, draw pictures, participate in arts and crafts, and go on nature hikes. They also learn healthy outlets for anger and self care techniques.
Adults of all ages spend time with other adults in a group setting as well as joining the children in some activities.
Childcare is available on site for infants and toddlers.
