"Flutter By" the Hospice Community Center
Hospice Volunteer plans a gathering to benefit the Hospice Memorial Garden
All are Welcome!

May 21, 5-8pm at the Hospice Community Center


Hospice Volunteer and Lia Sophia Jewelry independent advisor, Jeanne Dube of Sidney, will hold a special spring gathering called "Flutter By for the Hospice Garden" on Wednesday, May 21st 5-8pm at the Hospice Community Center, 304 Upper Main St, Waterville. Dube's goal is to donate "seed" money to help the Hospice memorial garden project "grow" by donating 100% of her profits from the evening's sales towards purchase of plants and materials for the Hospice garden & gazebo. Plans are underway for installation of the garden later this summer.

Waterville Area 5th Annual Extraordinary Raffle 2008
Tickets will be sold until October 18, 2008 at all special events and at the Hospice Community Center. Tickets $6.00 each or a book of 10 for $45.00 Call 873-3615 for tickets or more information. The drawing will take place at the 5th annual Bluegrass Show at the Williamson Arts and Technology Center Auditorium, Fairfield on October 18, 2008. You need not be present to win. Call 873-3615 to acquire tickets or for additional information.

11th Annual Summer Solstice in the Garden Party
Saturday June 21, 2008 (rain date June 22nd)
Fieldstone Gardens in Vassalboro
Garden Party guests will enjoy live music, garden tours, workshops, and time well spent in the beautiful and serene environment at Fieldstone Gardens. This year's special guest is Tracy Kane, author and illustrator of the Fairy House book series. In the morning and again after lunch Ms. Kane will read one of her books to our guests and then accompany them into the forest at Fieldstone Gardens where they will build a Fairy House Village. This is an activity that will appeal to all ages. More exciting details are in the making but as usual, we will serve lunch, offer gardening workshops and vendors will be on hand with their beautiful creations. Live music will add elegance to the day.

"Bing-Sol" Sukeforth Family Pig Roast Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Sukeforth Family Camp, Bingham BBQ, live music & dancing and a lively auction. Join us in a beautiful setting high atop a hill with spectacular views of the western mountains and foliage at its peak! We guarantee you will enjoy delicious food, warm and genuine camaraderie - all for a great cause! Proceeds will be shared with Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area and Meals on Wheels of northern Kennebec and Somerset counties.

Fifth Annual Bluegrass Show
Saturday, October 18th Williamson Arts & Technology Center in Fairfield Beginning at 7pm three popular and amazing Bluegrass Bands will perform throughout the evening. Guests will enjoy a 50 / 50 raffle as well as the wonderfully anticipated Extraordinary Raffle. Refreshments will be on sale all evening to benefit Lawrence High School Theater Students.

Interfaith Memorial Service
Sunday, November 2nd 4pm Place to be announced
Candle lighting in remembrance of loved ones. Bible readings and reflections by Catholic, Protestant and Jewish clergy. Guests also invited to share readings and light a candle. There will be a light supper to follow.



DECEMBER



Lights for Life Open House and Tree Lighting Ceremony
Thursday, December 4th 4:30-7pm at the Hospice Community Center
Refreshments, live music, camaraderie combined with the opportunity to remember your loved ones in a special way during the holiday season.
