On her next to last day as Program Coordinator for HVWA, at 76 Silver Street,
Sue handed me this slim, attractive paperback and suggested I might enjoy
reading it and then using it for my next Newsletter book report. My eye caught
the sub-title, Ways to See Life in a Brighter Light. In this last moment before
saying "Goodbye" to her as my beloved "boss", it was the right prescription. Now
that Linda, Dale and Bonnie are creating a great deal of hope around here - the
book becomes Sue's gift to all of us.
The critical question say the authors of this valuable little book is, "How
do I learn to hope?" Short prose messages on hope by great world thinkers, such
as Carl Jung, Black Elk, and Albert Einstein (these on one page), appear along
with exquisite miniature photographs of a single flower or branch on each page.
The hope-filled messages occur under headings such as: Tell Your Story, Let out
the clown, Experiment, Break the silence, Live as if, Say yes, and many
more.
Finding Hope is a great book to read through from cover to cover, or just to
sip as the spirit moves you.
