A program of Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area
- Network with other familes
- Learn healthy coping strategies
- Gain hope through sharing
Five peer support groups meet concurrently in which young people meet with others their own age, and parents/guardians with other adults. Children and teens are encourged to process grief through the healing arts, music, dance and play.
Mission Statement:
Hopes's Place provides a safe and supportive environment to grieving children, teens and familes through peer support groups, which nurture and encourage safe expression of grief and loss. Hope's Place honors each child's individuality and their process towards discovery of resiliency and emotional well-being.
