Creative Ways you can Support Hospice

Bereavement Services

Our bereavement services are available at no cost to anyone in Waterville and the surrounding area who has experienced death of a loved one through anticipated or sudden unexpected death. This program offers services that can be used according to the needs, lifestyle and wishes of each individual.
One-on-One Volunteer Support
Our trained hospice volunteers can provide 1-on-1 bereavement support for one year following a death. Their gift of time and compassionate listening offers opportunities to verbalize grief related feelings, fears and frustrations to an objective and non-judgmental ear.
Bereavement Support Groups
Our support groups are led by experienced hospice volunteers with the support of professional counselors. Each meeting offers an educational component as well as opportunities to share. Click on Support Groups for more information on types of groups offered.
Camp Ray of Hope
Weekend retreat for grieving children and adults. Next session September 15-17, 2006. Call 873-3615 for brochure. More Info
Hope's Place
A program for grieving children, teens and their parents
Community Education
Members of our Speakers Bureau will present to your church group, school, medical, business or civic organization about Hospice Volunteers or on topics related to grief and end-of-life issues.
Bereavement Correspondence
Recipients of this service will receive supportive letters and articles in the mail for 15 months following a death. The purpose of these mailings is to help one understand the intense feelings they are experiencing, and to offer suggestions for ways to cope. Simply call our office at 873-3615 and have your name (or with their permission, the name of a friend of family member) added to our mailing list.
